Overview

Telstra PBS Tianjin data centre (TJCS1), officially launched in October 2014, is the support PoP in North China region. The data centre is located in Jingjin Gaocun High-tech Park, which is only 2 minutes away from the new Gaocun exit on the Jingjin highway, provides the ideal environment for deployment of your enterprise’s core IT infrastructure.

About 44 kilometers away from Beijing Capital International Airport; about 50 kilometers away from the Tian’anmen Square.

Driving:

Colocation and MPLS Backbones

Telstra PBS has established 48 PoPs in 38 cities to interconnect its data centres.
With the high grade data centre service as well as the wide coverage of MPLS, Telstra PBS can provide one-stop ICT services to connect data centres and offices for customers.

Cabinet Distribution

  • The colocation has 12 modules (including 10 standard modules, one high density module and one high-voltage DC module), supporting a total of 2,000 IT racks.
  • Standard Rack Power Density: 2KVA
  • Maximum Rack Power Density: 6KVA

Comprehensive Wiring

  • Power supplier is separated into an Path A and Path B, housed under the raised floor
  • Communication cable is runs through a frame over the top of each cabinet
  • Copper cable and optical fiber are installed in each cabinet

Fire Suppression System

  • Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus (VESDA) System
  • IG541 gaseous fire suppression system in
    computer room
  • Water-spray fire suppression system in common area

Power Supply

  • Dual power from the city power grid, with a total of 32 MVA, supporting online maintenance
  • UPS battery autonomy is rated at 15 minutes during full-load operation
  • 10 Perkins diesel generator set, in N+1 redundancy, provides 1,800KW common power each
  • Diesel fuel tank capacity support data centre operations for 36 hours while a supply agreement with a fuel supplier is in place to ensure power supply is uninterruptable

As a domestic ISP with years of operational experience, Telstra PBS has built long term relationship with China Telecom, China Unicom, and China Mobile.

Remote-hand Support

  • Power cycling – manual switching on/off and reset of customers’ equipment; plug-in and unplug of network peripheral cards

  • Inspection and reporting – inspection and reporting of visible alarms on customer equipment
  • Equipment installation and management – unpacking, mounting and installation of cable; replacement or removal of hot-swappable and modular equipment
  • Spare parts handling – receive and store new spare parts and store faulty spare parts in customer co-location area
